I have led a life of taking risks to not let things go by me in my life.
I most likely started my personal risk taking with a trip alone to the city of Toronto.
it was in between my sophomore and junior year of college. My somewhat friend Diana Graham agreed with me that we would take a trip to Toronto at the end of the summer. I was looking forward to my FIRST trip to Toronto. Just one day before our trip she decided to work at her restaurant instead of honoring our agreed trip to Toronto. I was disappointed about her abrupt decision, but I was determined to go to Toronto on my own. I took the Greyhound bus to Buffalo. Then, I transferred to another bus going to Toronto. I do not think that I told my parents about Diane not coming on the trip with me. So, I ventured out on my own. It was exciting. When I arrived in Toronto I found a hotel to stay at and then I went to the Toronto Exhibition. I think I found a map that showed the city of Toronto to guide me. I took a bus to the Exposition. The Exposition was amazing. My previous experience was going to the state fair of New York with my family in Syracuse and the Monroe County Fair. The Canandian Exposition was all about the aspects of the province of Ontario from agriculture to commercial enterprises. I had my new 35 mm camera to take my slides.i took photos of the farming part, and the tower. I paid to have my handwriting analyzed. It was my first time to be in a Chinatown area in a city.I also had the chance to go to the great and famous department store there in the downtown area of Toronto.
I think I spent two days there.the year was 1963.
